Escalante, Utah - Thumbnails

These are pictures of my May 2006 backpack trip with David Tuttle to Escalante, Utah:
  • We went down the crack to Coyote Creek, explored the Escalante River east, headed upstream to Hurricane Wash, explored more upstream, and headed out Hurricane Wash, catching an old jeep road back to 40-Mile Ridge Road and our car (by the Water Tank parking area).
  • If you do this hike, these GPS waypoints may be helpful (WGS 84): crack = 37.419134 N 110.9851614 W, rock art = 37.4159276 N 111.0214735 W, west end of old jeep road out = 37.3967565 N 111.1021899 W, east tend of old jeep road out = 37.3852092 N 111.0651227 E.
  • I did some of this before, but out and back from the Hurricane Parking lot (pictures 57-99).
